About your Instructor

For the past 25 years, I have worked with and been taught by some of the best Shakespeare scholars, directors, and teachers in the United States: 

Dakin Matthews, Armin Shimerman, Ann Noble, Elizabeth Swain, and Dr. Ralph Cohen. 

Through these mentors and colleagues, I have  been inspired, challenged, and changed in my love, appreciation, and comprehension of Shakespeare's language and works.

Out of Shakespeare's 37 plays, I have worked on and/or performed 28 of them. From Kings to Killers, Princes to Paupers, Servants to Soldiers, I have played in his worlds and with his words for most of my career. 

I have taught Shakespeare with outreach programs in prisons and Veterans' groups;  and have led weekend intensives with colleges, amateurs and professionals alike. Additionally, I  have coached numerous actors with their Shakespeare auditions.

I truly believe that Shakespeare is not beyond anyone's abilities..so let's open the door together.
